Photocatalytic decomposition of 4-nitrophenol over a heterostructured titanium silicalite(TS-1) composite using bentonite clay as the catalyst support |
| 초록 |
A heterostructured titanium silicalite-1 (TS-1) composites using bentonite clay as the catalyst support were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment in which TS-1 directly crystallizes on the bentonite clay surface and used as photocatalysts for decomposition of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) in aqueous solution with H2O2. The synthesized composite has been characterized using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Under UV illumination, the higher photocatalytic activity for photocatalytic decomposition of 4-NP was observed for the bentonite supported TS-1. The synthesized composite also shows significant improvement in crystal growth. |
