제목 A study on Oxygen Measurement in Liquid Pb-Bi
초록 The eutectic lead-bismuth alloy(Pb-Bi) is considered as a spallation target and coolant of an accelerator driven system(ADS) for the transmutation of long-lived actinides from nuclear waste into shorter living isotopes, and coolant of LMR that is candidate for the Generation IV . But it has a problem that Pb-Bi eutectic is very corrosive to structural steel. One of the solutions of such a strong corrosion is the making of protecting oxide film on the structural steel. From worldwide researches and thermodynamic calculations, it has found that corrosion rate by Pb-Bi on the steel can be controlled when oxygen concentration is controlled in the limited region of oxygen activity. But it is required of extremely low oxygen concentration, the oxygen sensor that can measure accurate amount of oxygen is required. In this paper, YSZ oxygen sensor that uses Bi/Bi2O3 as reference electrode developed, and measure EMF at condition of saturation and non-saturation of oxygen using this sensor.
