The development of biopolymer films has increased the amount of research on edible biomaterials, since they consist of natural and biodegradable substances which may lead to a replacement for inorganic substitutes. The obtained organic films revealed a flowing surface, and the preparation of the biopolymer films by a 60Co gamma ray irradiation was optimized to produce a new material suitable for a bioapplication. Particularly, the microstructures and characterization of the polymer films depending on the gamma ray irradiation rate were investigated using the GPC, FT-IR and SEM techniques. |
