Preparation and Characterization of Biomass-derived Carbon Adsorbents for Lithium Recovery |

Biomass is the most abundant and well-utilized renewable carbon source on the earth. Direct synthesis of biomass to porous carbon provides a promising approach to develop adsorbent materials. In this work, we have prepared biomass-derived carbon (BDC) through the carbonization with physical activation. Li adsorption capacities of prepared BDC have investigated from aqueous solution. The structure and morphology were measured by X-ray diffraction(XRD). and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The textural properties were investigated by N2 isotherms at 77K. These results demonstrate the successful fabrication of porous carbons with enhanced Li adsorption capacities, and BDC is a promising material for Li recovery. |
