Optical and structural properties of Fe-TiO2 thin films prepared by sol–gel dip coating |

In this study, the optical and structural properties of Fe-TiO2 sol were investigated. TEOT[Ti(OC2H5)4] and Ferric nitrate[Fe(NO3)3·9H2O] were used as precursors to make Fe-TiO2 sol. Samples for measurement were prepared on a glass substrate by using sol-gel dip coating method. The cut-off points of the samples were shifted from 290nm to visible wavelength with increasing Fe contents. The samples were heated at different temperatures (400℃, 450℃, 500℃, 550℃, 600℃), and the crystalline phases were analyzed by X-ray diffraction. This study reveals that the optical properties of Fe-TiO2 thin films was correlated with the structural properties. |
