제목 Nanoscopically Aligned Boron Nitride Nanotube Fibers: Characterization and Fabrication
초록 High-performancecarbon nanotube (CNT) fibers with highly packed and nanoscopically aligned CNTsusing CNT liquid crystal (LC) has been reported recently. Due to poordispersion stability of boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs), however, thepreparation of BNNT LCs has been challenging. Here, we introduce a simplemethod for preparing BNNT LCs with a specifically designed dispersing agent andfabricating highly packed BNNT fiber by the wet-spinning process of BNNT LCs.To understand the structure-property relationship, BNNT LC-based fibers werecharacterized by optical and mechanical analysis.
