제목 | Graphene films on glass substrate fabricated by metal catalyst composite without transfer process |
초록 | Graphene has generated enormous scientific curiosity owing to its ultrathin geometry quantum electronic transport, bandgap opening, excellent thermal conductivity and high mechanical strength. Currently, graphene films are best synthesized via pyrolysis cracking of hydrocarbon gases or a solid deposition method at elevated temperatures (~1,000℃) on polycrystalline metal surfaces and later transferred onto other substrates for the fabrication of devices. However, in these methods, the obtained graphene films need to be separated from metal substrates and transferred to insulating substrates for further electronic processing. So we study that a transfer-free method of graphene directly on glass by carbon diffusion. The 100 nm nickel layer was deposited by electron-beam evaporator on the top of glass and used as the catalyst. C films were used by electron-beam evaporator as carbon sources. During the annealing process at ~650℃, the carbon sources diffused into the nickel layer. When cooled to room temperature, graphene was formed between the nickel layer and glass substrate. The nickel films were removed by FeCl3 solution, and graphene was then directly obtained on glass without transfer process. The quality of graphene film on glass substrate was observed by Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy |
