Electroluminescent Properties of New Blue Emitters Based on Dibenzo-diazocine Moiety |

In this study, 1-NADD and 2-NADD were designed and synthesized based on dual anthracene and DBDA moiety. Optical and electrical properties were examined by UV-visible absorption spectra and PL spectra. In the film state, 1-NADD and 2-NADD showed PLmax of 433 nm and 435 nm, respectively. 1-NADD and 2-NADD were used as non-doped emitting layer (EML) in OLEDs with the following structure : ITO/2-TNATA (60nm)/(NPB (15nm)/compounds (35nm)/Alq3 (20nm)/LiF (1nm)/Al (200nm) . 2-NADD showed higher EL efficiencies than 1-NADD because hole and electron injection are easier in 2-NADD with a relatively narrow band gap and charge recombination occurs more effectively. In non-doped OLED devices, 1-NADD showed C.E. of 1.47 cd A-1 and E.Q.E of 0.91%, respectively. 2-NADD showed C.E. of 2.38 cd A-1 and E.Q.E of 1.26%, respectively. |
