제목 | Antifouling Technologies in Processes Using Ion-Exchange Membranes |
초록 | Ion exchange membranes function selective separation of ions in aqueous solutions. Cation- and anion-exchange membranes have negatively and positively charged functional groups covallently bonded to polymers, repsectively. Most processes using ion exchange membranes are comprised of an alternating arrangement of cation- and anion-exchange membranes(CEM and AEM) between two electrodes. Normally, AEM is easily fouled by charged organic matter such as humic acid and so on due to electrostatic adsorption to its surface. In this study, antifouling technologies were investigated to mitigate AEMs fouled by organic matters.
