Carbon-based materials and their applications constitute a fast-growing topic of scientific research among scientists and engineers drawn to the field for their existing and potential commercial applications including the aircraft and aerospace, energy storage devices, automotive, rubber, steel, and many others. Recently, carbon fibre reinforced composites (CFRC), a unique composite material consisting of carbon fibres embedded in a carbonaceous or polymer matrix, have been a lot of interested in aircraft, due to their low density, high thermal conductivity, and excellent mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, and so on. They have been attracted attention to the next generation materials for aircraft and aerospace parts. In this presentation will cover the technology and development status of carbon materials for aircraft and aerospace. |
