제목 Catalyst-Plasma Interactions-Promoted C-H Activation: Evidence and Kinetic Evaluation
초록 Remarkable complexity innate to catalytic C-H activation under plasma medium opens a vital question about what the major source is to promote catalytic consequence. While employing dry CH4 reforming on Ni/Al2O3 as a model reaction, this presentation showcases control reaction runs for isolating/dissecting a feasible source reported to improve C-H cleavage performance. These provide evidence that catalyst-plasma interactions play a major role to drive enhanced CH4 conversion, H2 yield, and forward CH4 consumption rate at elevated temperatures, all of which are retained to reform C2H6. This presentation also details rigorous investigation about kinetic role of catalyst-plasma interactions at reaction-limited regime and corroborates that Ni-vibrationally excited CH4 interplays show non-Arrhenius behavior yet help increase forward CH4 consumption rates and reduce energy barriers.
