제목 Synthesis of carbazole derivative as high triplet energy host material for deep blue phosphorescence organic light emitting diode
초록 We developed a high triplet energy host material with electron donating carbazole and strong electron withdrawing cyanide group. 3',5'-Di(9H-carbazol-9-yl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3,5-dicarbonitrile (CzBPCN) had deep lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) because of strong electron withdrawing character of CN unit, while keeping the triplet energy (ET = 2.71 eV). The highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and LUMO energy levels of CzBPCN were -5.89 eV and -2.32 eV, respectively. The optical bandgap of CzBPCN was 3.57 eV. The CzBPCN host material showed good device performances as a host material for blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diode due to bipolar charge transport properties and efficient energy transfer
