제목 N-doped carbon quantum dots prepared by hydrothermal method
초록 Carbon quantum dots (C-Dots) are less harmful and more biocompatible compare to cadmium-based quantum dots. The N-doped C-Dot have been prepared using melamine as a raw material with the hydrothermal method in the presence of reactant solvent for dissolving melamine in water. The reaction temperature and time were varied and obtained pale brown solution after filtration followed by dialysis. The particle sizes of C-Dots were measured as 6.7 – 45.6 nm using dynamic light scattering (DLS) analyzer. The properties of light absorption and emission of C-Dots were studied using UV-Vis and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopies.
