제목 The influence of the functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes on in-situ synthesis of nylon 610
초록 Nanocomposite of nylon 610 and functionalized mult-walled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs), which used the interfacial polymerization method, was successful. Multiwall carbon nanotubes were functionalized with 4-chlorobenzoic acid via an electrophilic substitution reaction in polyphosphoric acid(PPA) and P2O5. As-received MWNT, chlorobenzoyl-functionalized, were dispersed homogeneously in carbon tetrachloride, because the functionalized MWNT had reduced the attraction between MWNT. In-situ synthesis of nylon 610 in presence of the functionalized MWNT and pristine MWNT were accomplished by the interfacial polymerization method. As a result, homogeneous incorporation of MWNT in nanocomposite was monitored in an as-spun fiber. Scanning electron microscope showed that Nylon 610/functionalized MWNT system has better dispersion than Nylon 610/pristine MWNT. Thermal properties were slightly enhanced than thermal property of nylon610/pristine MWNT.
