In this study, we developed stretchable and conductive sensingelectrodes by incorporating carbon thread into EcoflexTM substrate. Using3D printed molds, the carbon tread can be easily patterned on polymer matrixaccording to the serpentine shape. The resulted electrode exhibited a highstretchability of 400% strain and high electrical conductivity. Theelectrochemical sodium ion sensor was fabricated based on this sensingplatform. The sensor showed excellent electrochemical characteristics ofhigh sensitivity, good durability, and good repeatability. Moreover, theperformances of sensors maintained under mechanically different deformations ofbending, twisting, and stretching. On-body test based on the sensor integratedwith a wireless electronic module was performed for real-time monitoring ofsodium ion concentration in sweat during user’s stationary bicycle. |
