Preparation and Characterization of Rapamycin incorporated drug delivery carrier |

Rapamycin, also known as sirolimus, is an inexpensive immunosuppressive drug that has been well-studied in renal transplantation and in drug-eluting stents as an antiinflammatory/anti-proliferation agent. In this study, Carboxymethyl chitosan-graft-poly(ethylene glycol)-graft-Cholesterol(OCMPEGChol) was synthesized with carboxymethyl group modified Chitosan and methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) by chemical reaction for Rapamycin(Rapa) delively system. The structure were investigated by fourier transform infrared FT-IR(Fourier transform infrared), 1H-NMR(1Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance). Also, particle size and particle image were measured by DLS(Dynamic Light Scattering) and TEM(Transmission electron microscopy). These results to expected to shape core shell type nanoparticle. |
