Assembling an efficient energy harvesting interface: Formation of pairs of triplet states from a singlet state in pentacene |
초록 |
Fission of singlets yielding triplet pairs features pentacene photovoltaics (PVs) promising in assembling a high-efficiency energy harvester due to carrier multiplication. Hybrid pentacene/PbS(e) nanocrystal (NC) PVs were fabricated varying the size and ligands of PbS(e) NCs to correlate the open circuit voltage to fission of singlets. Structural disorder dependent parameters of the PVs were addressed by varying the molecular orientation and grain size. In-situ electrical measurements in combination with a bi-layer pentacene/PbS(e) field effect transistor provides insights into understanding of the origin of the magnitude of the short circuit current and the open circuit voltage. |
