제목 Improved Dissolution of Solid Dispersed Carvedilol Using Spray-Dryer
초록 To overcome the solubility of poorly water-soluble drug which is carvedilol, the formation of solid dispersion using a spray dryer with polymeric material, that can potentially enhance the dissolution rate extend of drug absorption was considered in this study. To investigate the correlation between physicochemical properties and dissolution rate of solid dispersion, the samples were characterized by SEM, DSC, XRD and FT-IR. SEM, DSC and XRD were found that carvedilol is amorphous in the polymeric material solid dispersion. FT-IR was used to analyze the salt formation by interaction between carvedilol and polymeric material. The dissolution rate of solid dispersed carvedilol was markedly increased compared to drug powder in stimulated intestinal juice (pH 1.2). Thus, the solid dispersed carvedilol using the spray drying method with polymeric material may be effective for the bioavailability. This research was supported by WCU (R31-20029).
