PE-reinforced cation exchange membrane based on acrylate polymer network for reverse electrodialysis |
초록 |
Reverse electrodialysis (RED) is a process to obtain renewable energy from salinity gradients. Ion exchange membranes should have low electric resistance , high permselectivity and good mechanical, chemical and thermal stability in RED systems. UV-curing has easy process and performance improvement. In this study, cation exchange membranes(CEMs) are prepaered by UV-curing process. Specifically membranes were formed by two acrylate polymer networks. Membrane properties, such as chemical structure(FT-IR), ion exchange capacity, water uptake, pH tolerance, permselectivity, area resistance were measured. In conclusion, UV-CEM2 that we proposed showed excellent permselectivity and area resistance greater than commercial CMV membrane under the same condition. |
