제목 Preparation and characteristics of sulfonated polymer electrolyte membrane
초록 Hydrocarbon membranes have easy functionalization reactions and can produce membranes with high ion exchange capacity, but have a high volumetric strain and brittle properties due to an increase in moisture content resulting from the introduction of functional groups, so there is a limit in durability. Therefore, in this study, a cation exchange membrane was prepared through a sulfonation reaction using poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4- phenlyene oxide), which is a polymer with excellent chemical resistance and mechanical properties, while supplementing the disadvantages of the hydrocarbon-based membrane. In addition, their moisture content, ion exchange capacity, electrical resistance, and ionic conductivity were measured, and based on this, the optimum manufacturing conditions of the membrane were identified.
