제목 Synthesis of Cellulose mixed esters with various fatty acids
초록 Cellulose mixed esters (CME), substituted by different aliphatic chains, are polymers with interesting properties. Alpha cellulose was activated for 2h at 40℃ in deionized water prior to synthesis. Homogeneous esterification of cellulose was accomplished with various saturated fatty acids and acetic anhydride in lithium chloride/N,N-dimethylacetamide (LiCl/DMAc) medium. Cellulose mixed esters (CME) were obtained after 5 h at 140℃. The purified products were characterized. The influence of activation and length of fatty chain on the total degree of substitution and on the ratio of acetyl/fatty acyl ester functions was investigated.
