As technology develops, demand for rechargeable batteries with stable performance and flexibility is increasing significantly due to the attention of wearable device development. Cellulose nanofibril (CNF) has excellent physical properties with high aspect ratio and high surface area. Aramid nanofibers derived from Kevlar, has a high mechanical strength as well as thermal resistance. In this study, the preparation of highly flexible or compressible battery electrode for next-generation wearable devices is proposed with CNF and aramid aerogels. Based on as-prepared compressible carbon aerogel, the post-treatment to introduce the heteroatoms such as transition metal and/or nitrogen endows a good catalytic activity, maintaining its original mechanical properties. |
