Electrochemical N2 reduction to Ammonia (NH3), used as a key commodity for chemical synthesis and an energy resource, has been considered as the most important process for reducing CO2 emission which is significantly emitted from the Haber-Bosch process. Biological N2 fixation to produce NH3 in nature is possible on enzyme having Fe based sites. In this work, Fe phthalocyanine based electrocatalyst was developed by bio-mimicking approach. Furthermore, multiple modifications using Fe phthalocyanine were suggested to improve their catalytic activities. In this talk, we will introduce those multiple strategies to prepare active catalysts and how these strategies can affect to improve NH3 production. |
