Preparation and Anticancer effect of Pegylated-chlorambucil Prodrug for Cancer Therapy |

Chlorambucil(CLB) was usually used to treat leukemia. According to recent research, CLB was reported that indicated to anticancer effect. However, its utilization was limited by multi drug resistant (MDR) effect and highly toxicity. Also, CLB has a low solubility in water. To solve this problem, we synthesized to pegylated-CLB prodrug by coupling agent. Its chemical structure was analyzed by 1H-NMR and UV spectrophotometer, and it synthesized successfully. In addition, its particle size and morphology was confirmed by DLS and TEM. Moreover, cytotoxicity and anticancer effect was accomplished by MTT assay. These results suggest that it can apply as anticancer agent.
