Due to rapid global urbanization and environmental pollution, harvesting eco-friendly renewable energy sources are researched to overcome the global environmental challenges. Among that, solar energy is the most attracted candidate energy source due to its abundancy and sustainability. The electrical consumption of buildings accounts for nearly 40% of total energy, therefore, building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPVs) are essential to produce electricity from buildings and consumed by itself. The commercial opaque silicon solar cells have limitations in BIPVs applications since it can only be mounted at the rooftop. Perovskite solar cells are getting tremendous attentions due to its high absorption coefficient, high-power conversion efficiency, and potentials to be integrated into windows and facades thanks to average visible transmittance (AVT) control. We performed AVT control by laser scribing and incorporated transparent electrode on both sides. |
