Intrinsically Conducting Polymers, Synthesis and Applicabilities |

Polyaniline (PAni) and polypyrol (PPy) were succesfully synthesized by chemical polymerization. The products were purified and characterized by different instrumental methods to clarify their structures. The influences of reaction conditions on the microstructure and properties of polymers were demonstrated. The products can be synthesized as fine powders, microfibers of in nano-form depend on the conditions used. Polyaniline proved to be very useful for formulation various protective coatings especially in primer layers. The paint systems having small dose of Polyaniline resist very good salt spray test and other corrosive conditions. PAni and PPy were investigated in different materials for electromagnetic absorbing purposes. Both polymers showed their capacity for absorbing short band of electromagnetic waves. Some protective products were prepared and field tested for years. They proved to resist very well our natural hot wed climate in North Vietnam. |
