At present, Yuzu is domestically located in Koheung, Chonnam coastal area occupies about 70% of total production. The objective of this study was to recognize the chemical composition and antioxidant activity of extration Yuzu(Citrus junos Sieb. ex Tanaka) seed and seed shell. To obtain essential oils, Yuzu seeds were extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide fluid and pressure process. The fatty acid composition of Yuzu oil was analyzed by GC technique. The average extract was composed of six major component in the order of linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, linolenic acid, stearic acid, arachidic acid. Antioxidant activity of the Yuzu seed shell was evaluated by polyphennol and DPPH method. Identification of these chemical components in Yuzu oil may provide basic information for research of extracted cosmetic oils & cosmetics material using citron seed.
