Among the various energy storage systems, supercapacitors have gained significant attention due to its high power density, fast charging and discharging rates, and robust rate capability. The developed mixed-metal method for MOFs allows for the incorporation of two different central metal ions into the same framework to form mixed-metal organic frameworks (M-MOFs), which offer MOFs with an additional degree of structural stability and could endow them with some new performances. Therefore, we can expect it to have superior performance as a capacitor electrode by adding Ni, compared with previous reports of ZIF-67. The structure and morphology of the composite are characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charge-discharge (CD) in 6M KOH electrolyte. |
