The influences of different compositional ratios on the properties of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films by simultaneous co-sputtering system |

The Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) thin films were prepared by simultaneous Co-sputtering system using Cu, SnS2 and ZnS targets followed by annealing in the mixed N2 (95%) +H2S (5%) atmosphere at 600oC for 1 hour. The influences of different composition of the annealed CZTS films (viz. Cu poor, Cu rich, Zn poor and Zn rich) are investigated by using X-ray diffraction, FESEM, Energy dispersive X-ray, UV-Vis spectrometer, Hall measurement. X-ray diffraction patterns showed the formation of polycrystalline CZTS. The energy dispersive X-ray results revealed Cu poor, Cu rich, Zn poor and Zn rich compositions of CZTS thin films. The optical band gap energies of the CZTS thin films with different compositional ratios were observed by UV-Vis. We also confirmed the formation of CZTS thin films with uniform morphology by field emission scanning electron microscopy. Furthermore, the electrical properties of CZTS thin films with various compositions were studied by Hall measurement system and IVT tester. |
