제목 | Comparison Strategy of CDU Performances with Different Pre-flash Facilities for Light Crudes |
초록 | Two configurations of pre-flash facility have been used in CDU; pre-flash drum and column. However, it is difficult and time consuming to select appropriate configuration because tremendous factors affect performances. In this study, a comparison strategy is introduced for the selection of pre-flash configurations. Four cases are simulated based on two pre-flash configurations. In the simulation, the control parameters are suggested that the results are able to be compared fairly for light crudes. Additionally, new method for heater duty estimation is introduced to evaluate the energy consumption of heater. The proposed method can calculate heater inlet temperature without time consuming procedure. The study reveals the pre-flash column option requires higher vessel volume and consumes more heater and air-cooler duty. But, it uses lower pump power and it has better corrosion potential on the top of the main column. The results can be useful indicators in selection of pre-flash device. |
