제목 | Identification of multiple optima for high-throughput screening of combinatorial catalysis using modified particle swarm optimization |
초록 | The development of combinatorial technology has enabled synthesis of a huge amount of chemical compounds in a short time. In discovering new catalysts, automatic parallel experimental system of combinatorial catalysis requires efficient optimization algorithms for high-throughput screening and experimental design. In fact, similarly to other optimizers, the standard particle swarm optimizer (PSO), based on the concept of flocking behavior of birds, could not locate more than one solution. However, a model relating catalyst performance with affecting factors is hardly robust so that one global optimum could be inapplicable for synthesis of industrial catalysts under a certain circumstance. Therefore, in this study the niche particle swarm optimization, a modified PSO algorithm, was suggested and turned out to be able to locate multiple optima depending on how well adjusting weighting factors. This work is expected to contribute to develop new industrial catalysts in combinatorial catalysis. This work supported by Center for Ultramicrochemical Process Systems sponsored by KOSEF. |
