Due to the rapid development of wireless communications and high frequency circuit devices in GHz range, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic (EM) radiation pollution have grown to a critical issue to be addressed. Therefore, EMI shielding and microwave absorbing materials have attracted considerable attention because of their abilities to eliminate and reduce the EM radiation and interference. Herein, we report the EMI shielding and microwave absorption properties of the polymer composites containing metal-plated sendust with both magnetic and dielectric properties. The effects of fabrication techniques and filler loadings on the EMI shielding and microwave absorption properties of these composites has been investigated and the possible mechanism has been discussed underlying depending on the presence of conductive layer. Additionally, the potential application of such polymer composites were discussed depending on the peak response frequencies. |
