This study was investigated to test the combustion properties of wood specimen for the constructional interiors, especially focusing on fire indices-III, IV which is fire risk properties. Fire risk properties were measured by using a cone calorimeter (ISO 5660-1) and analyzed using Chung’s Equations-III, -IV The external heat flux was maintained at 50 kW/m2. Fire performance index-III increased by 4.2 ~ 5.2 times compared with Paulownia, respectively. And it increased in the order of PMMA < Maple < Ash < Paulownia. The fire growth index-III increased by 1.5 ~ 5.9 times compared with Maple and it increased in order of Maple < Ash, PMMA < Paulownia. Fire risk index-IV by fire risk rating index increased by 1.9 ~ 30.8 times compared with Maple and it increased in order of Maple < Ash < PMMA < Paulownia. According to comprehensive assessment of fire risk properties, Maple showed lowest fire risk materials among the woods. |
