Coordination polymers particles (CPPs) are widely used materials in catalysis, gas storage, and separation. A rational design of ligand is of considerable importance since it provides targeted materials desirable properties. Herein, an organic ligand, 2,6-bis[(4-carboxyanilino)carbonyl] pyridine 1, was synthesized [1,2] and fully characterized using 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and IR. Ligand 1, coupled with Zn(II), were employed to fabricate Zn-based CPPs in a controllable fashion via the solvothermal process. The obtained monodisperse Zn-based CPPs were characterized using SEM, 1H-NMR, and nitrogen adsorption at 77 K. In a further step, applications of zinc CPPs as well as theirs derived ZnO by calcination were also performed. |
