Self-assembled polymeric nanoparticles with robust in vivo stability and tumor-targetability have been investigated as promising drug carriers for improved therapeutic efficacy. In this study, we prepared core-crosslinked bioreducible hyaluronic acid micelle (HAMs) by a facile method. The crosslinked nanoparticles (CC-HAMs) were smaller in size than HANPs owing to the formation of a compact core-cross-link. Moreover, theCC-HAMs exhibited enhanced structural stability under harsh condition such as PBS containing FBS and sodium dodecyl sulfates (SDS). Interestingly, the drug release rate of CC-HAMs was rapidly accelerated in the presence of 10mM GSH, whereas the drug release was significantly retarded in physiological buffer(pH7.4). Overall, these results suggest that bioreducible CC-HAMs could be applied as a targeted drug carrier for cancer therapy. |
