제목 Enhancing Light Harvesting Efficiency By Gold Nanoparticles@Carbon Quantum Dot Core-Shell Structures
초록 Carbon quantum dot (CQD) has been attracted because it has numerous active surfaces, non-toxicity,  stability, controllable and many edge sites. However, for light harvesting application, the practical implementation of CQD is limited due to its low absorptance of light in visible range. Under this consideration, we introduce a core-shell gold nanoparticles@CQD (Au@CQD) structures which enhance light harvesting efficiency and optoelectric properties. Herein, gold nanoparticles in Au@CQD acts a key role for improving absorptance near 520 nm wavelength based on localized surface plasmonic resonance (LSPR) effect. Through that absorption, the generated hot electron would be directly injected to conduction band of CQD, which boost light harvesting efficiency and optoelectric properties. This work presents opportunities to design start-of-the-art light harvesting candidate by engineering morphology using Au and CQD.
