제목 2-D CFD of vertical form Taylor-Couette reactor for particle size distribution
초록 Taylor vortex is generated by the gap between concentric two rotating cylinders. Its mixing effect of wavy flow has advantages to obtain high purity and uniform sized material. In this study, vertical form of Taylor-Couette reactor is designed using 2-D CFD simulation, two cylinders have high difference in angular velocity as inner cylinder rotates, and outer one is fixed. This foam of Couette-Taylor reactor is affected by gravity, so enough sized up crystallized materials goes down bottom of reactor. The result is simulated with Direct Numeric Simulation and Discrete Phase Method(DPM) which is one of Euler-Lagrange method. Using this phenomenon, the study focuses which condition is proper to get specific particle size.
