All-inorganic colloidal quantum dot-based white light-emitting diode with excellent color stability |
초록 |
Colloidal inorganic quantum dot (QD)-based white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) have received much attention as critical components for potential use in next-generation ambient lightings and full-color displays due to their solution processibility, excellent color temperature, high quantum efficiency, and high photostability. However, despite steadily accumulating insight into the unique features and architecture of QD-based WLEDs suitable for flexible or bendable optoelectronic devices, most researches on WLEDs have been only focused on QDs as a photoluminescence color converter. Herein, a new strategy for the design of colloidal all-inorganic QD electroluminescence WLEDs with excellent color stability is proposed and demonstrated. The blended hybrid architectures of QD layers are designed and fabricated using a QD mixture which contains perovskite QD composites (CsPbBr3 and CsPb(Br1-xClx)3) and CuInS2 (CIS). This self-emissive QD hybrid has been rational-designed to generate white electroluminescence with the color balance between blue, green, and orange (620 nm), which is well-matched with the Commission International de l’Éclairage 1931 (CIE) color coordinates with a mean value of (0.33, 0.34). In particular, the mixed-halide perovskite CsPb(Br1-xClx)3 QDs are successfully synthesized through exchanging the halide ion from the pristine CsPbBr3 QD by using trimethylsilyl chloride additives. All QD-based WLEDs show typical diode characteristics with a turn-on voltage of 4 V and negligibly small leakage current. Moreover, the simultaneous recombination between the blended hybrid halide-based perovskite QDs and CIS QDs emission region also results in WLED shows excellent color stability and electrical bias tolerance, even with a broad range of driving voltages. |
