제목 Self-Assembly of HyaluronateCucurbituril Conjugatefor Controlled Drug Delivery Applications
초록 Cucurbit[6]uril (CB[6]), a member of the macrocyclic host family comprising six glycoluril units forms stable host-guest complexes with polyamines such as spermine with extremely high binding affinity. In this work, we synthesized hyaluronate-CB[6] conjugate by photoreaction of thiolated HA (HA-SH) with (allyloxy)12CB[6]. We confirmed the successful synthesis of HA-CB[6] conjugate and its self-assembly with spermine derivatives by 1H NMR analysis. The novel HA-CB[6] conjugate was successfully applied for the preparation of the second generation magic bullets by host-guest chemistry in a non-covalent manner. In addition, injectable HA hydrogels could be prepared by simple mixing of HA-CB[6] and HA-spermine conjugates. The in situ crosslinked HA hydrogels were used for controlled release of various biopharmaceutical drugs. This presentation will give you an overview on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of HA-CB[6] conjugates as novel drug delivery systems.
