Synthesis and Performance Evaluation of Cu-based Bimetallic Catalyst for Ethylene from Electroreduction of Carbon Dioxide |
초록 |
The concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere is getting higher and this phenomenon induces various environmental problems, including global warming. As a way to solve these problems, Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) technologies are attracting attention. CO2 electroreduction reaction (CO2RR) is considered the best alternative since it can convert CO2 into various chemicals depends on the catalysts. Cu is known as the only metal that can produce hydrocarbons (C2+). Among the C2+ products, C2H4 is an essential material in various industries such as polymer manufacture and agriculture. Herein, we synthesized Cu-based bimetallic catalysts to enhance the selectivity for C2H4, and the performance of synthesized catalysts was evaluated in the custom-built flow cell and single cell. |
