Here, a high-performance organic photodetector is fabricated based on a non-fullerene Y6 acceptor. In addition, PM6 is used as a donor, which is complementary to Y6 in the light absorption spectrum. Based on this, PM6:Y6 BHJ (bulk hetero junction) photosensitive layer was prepared. It is capable of detecting light up to NIR (near-infrared). At the same time, a strategy (thickness control of BHJ photosensitive layer) was adopted to reduce the external defects and increased the Rsh (shunt resistance) value to suppress the dark current. As a result, compared with the reference device, the dark current density is significantly reduced in the optimized device. Through this, excellent responsivity and detectivity were found in the devices with the least bulk defect (inhomogeneity and pinholes). |
