Photostablity enhancement of hybrid nanoparticle of conjugated polymer and application of photocatalyst |

Enhancing photostability of conjugated polymer can lead to increase of lifetime of device that conjugated polymer nanoparticles is applied to. Also, end results can applied for photocatalysis. In this study, we prepared conjugated polymer nanoparticles with phospholipid from phase separated film. To prepare nanoparticles well, relationship between conjugated polymer side chain and lipid alkyl tail length to prepare nanoparticles is tested by using various conjugated polymers and phospholipids. Photostability of conjugated polymer nanoparticles and raw polymers are measured by solar simulator and UV-vis spectroscopy. Decreasing absorbance ratio is calculated and compared with each other. We confirmed photocatalystic activity by deep red and near infraed light absorption from conjugated polymer particles and subsequent energy transfer to TiO2 nanocrystals by photoluminescence spectra. |
