Analysis of Color of Dental Composite Resins Using Nano-Silica with Various Contents |

The objective of this study was to evaluate the color of dental composite resins using nano-silica with various contents. Dental composite resins using nano-silica were prepared by a variety of contents. Color of Dental composite resins using nano-silica measured in the reflectance and transmittance modes were compared, and the opalesecence parameter(OP) was calculated as the difference in blue-yellow coordiante (Δb*)and red-green parameter (Δa*) between the reflected and transmitted colors of 1㎜ thick specimens. OP=[(aT*-aR*)2+(bT*-bR*)2]1/2. The translucency parameter(TP) was obtained by calculating the color difference between the specimen over the white background and the specimen over the black background. TP=[(LB*-LW*)2+(aB*-aW*)2+(bB*-bW*)2]1/2. |
