Sulfur poisoning & regeneration effect of Pd/(Ce-Zr)O2 catalysts for CO oxidation |
초록 |
The environmental standard of harmful emissions from the vehicle has given rise to develop more effective emission control system. The diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) is an essential part for removing CO and hydrocarbons (HCs) of diesel exhaust gas. The cerium (IV) oxide (CeO2) is an important component to low ignition temperature in DOC because of its excellent oxygen-storage capacity (OSC) property. However, it is readily damaged by high temperature and sulfur. SO2 poisoning to ceria easily form cerium sulfate, which degrade the OSC property. The insertion of ZrO2 into a CeO2 lead to an improvement of the physicochemical properties such as thermal stability and sulfur resistance. This research aims at investigating the role of ZrO2, especially focusing on the influence of sulfur poisoning and regeneration treatment on the CO oxidation over Pd/(Ce-Zr)O2 catalysts. |
