In the present study, phospholipids/polydiacetylene supramolecules have been prepared, and dimyristoyl phosphatidylcholine(DMPC)/polydiacetylene(PDA) vesicles are evaluated as a selective progesterone sensory platform. In this biomimetic membrane interface, progesterone induces disassembly and segmental rearrangement of DMPC/PDA supramolecule, resulting in the blue-to-red color transition including fluorescence emission. The present study will provide new biosensor strategy, the drug action mechanism, and biomembrane modulation methods as well as the insight on progesterone receptor/inhibitor identification. |
