제목 Anisotropic Heat Transfer Behavior in Discotic Liquid Crystalline Materials with High Thermal Conductivity
초록 Highly thermal conducting organic materials were developed using discotic liquid crystal (DLC) molecules with polymerizable functional groups. Free-standing films fabricated using the DLC monomers present high thermal conductivity as well as good mechanical stability. The thermal conducting performances of DLC films depend on the lattice ordering of consisting DLC molecules. The DLC film with highly ordered liquid crystalline phase shows outstanding thermal conductivity up to 1.09 W/mK. The directional order of DLC molecules in the film was successfully adjusted by applying a strong magnetic field. The DLC film with uniaxial alignment present directional heat transfer character with high anisotropy.
