제목 Effects of Composition on the Droplet Size and Skin Permeation of Hydrated Liquid Crystalline Vesicles Containing Adenosine
초록 We examined the effects of compositional changes in hydrated liquid crystalline vesicles containing adenosine on their properties. The formation of liquid crystalline phases and their thermal phase transitions were investigated by polarized optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively. Droplet sizes of the vesicles were decreased by incorporating lysolecithin into hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine. Among many solvents, ethanol is most effective in making the particle size of the vesicle smaller. When adenosine was encapsulated in the hydrated liquid crystalline vesicle, the skin permeability of adenosine was increased more than when adenosine was in aqueous solution.
