제목 Preparation of Micro-Encapsulated Gelatin Derivatives for Immobilization of Drugs
초록 Free drugs cannot remain in the affected sites during treatment because of its short half life, and it is also difficult to achieve effect because of degradation caused by enzymes. By introducing photo-immobilization, Matrix can hold and immobilize drugs and it can assign property of biodegradation slowly. Also it remain to improve that drugs can effect consistently in affected site. The material for drug immobilization is natural polymer that should have function including biocompatibility, biodegradability, low toxicity because it will apply to in vivo. One of natural polymer, gelatin is harmless to human, and is decided suitable material that meet the conditions. 1H-NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy were demonstrated that azido group was introduced into Gelatin. The ability to encapsulate drug was confirmed by fluorescent protein using fluorescence microscope. Based on these characteristics, Az-Gelatin is expected to be application in medical field.
