제목 Comparison of Interfacial Evaluation Methods Between Static  and Dynamic Contact angles at Fiber and Epoxy Interface
초록 There exist dissimilar interface of two materials and their many evaluation methods. In this study, contact angle was used as the evaluating method of surface energy and their interfacial adhesion for glass fiber and amine based-epoxy matrix in composite materials. Dynamic and static contact angle measurements were compared to confirm the accuracy of two methods mutually. Using measured surface energy, work of adhesion between fiber and epoxy was obtained to analyze and to compare with the interfacial shear strength (IFSS) between fiber and matrix. In case of static contact angle of tine fiber surface, it was not only difficult to measure but also the accuracy of static contact angle method relatively lower than the dynamic contact angle method.
