Poly (hydroxylethylacrylate-co-coumaryl acrylate-co-ethylmethacrylate) were prepared by radical reaction with various molar ratios such as 98:0:2, 96:2:2, 95:2.5:2.5, 94:3:3, and 92:4:4. P(HEA-AC-EMA) has lower critical solution temperature (LCST) behavior in aqueous solution between 40 oC to lower than 20 oC. And the polymer chains were cross-linked after being subjected to UV irradiation (254 nm, 6 W) for 20 h. P(HEA-AC-EMA) solutions in methanol were electrospun to fibers by applied to 20 kV voltage at different concentrations (30 % to 80 %). Beads were absorbed when low concentrations were used and nanofibers can be got when high concentrations as 60 % to 80% were utilized. 5(6) carboxyfluorescein (a hydrophilic dye) was involved to determine the release degree. Almost 100 % release can be obtained when the fiber were not exposed to the UV irradiation, and the release of fiber which composed of a copolymer without AC can also reach to 100 %. The release percentage at a certain temperature of UV-treated nanofibers increases with LCST decreases. |
